A perfect activity for when you’re feeling creative but don’t want to add more plastic to the world. Enjoy some quality time with your cherished one while making something unique for each other… or yourself! There will be guided instruction for how to work with ceramic clay and for the beading/ jewelry portion, as well as directions for making specific pieces to theme. However, you are more than welcome to create whatever your heart desires. I will be there the whole time for guidance and assistance. No previous experience required! All materials will be provided.

Join us for a fun and susty creative session where you make a unique and high quality bag charm or keychain, by making a ceramic charm and bedazzling it with semi-precious stones, pearls, and glass.

PROCESS
You will learn basic hand-building techniques and choose from several designs for the theme of the event. You can then choose your own adventure from there! After the first clay portion, we will set aside the projects and take a short break, followed by an introduction to jewelry-making/beading. From there, you will choose your beads from a wide variety and have time to plan your design before threading everything together. The last portion of the workshop is reserved for adding painted details to the clay charms. The workshop is structured to give everyone plenty of time with each portion of the craft, but you may work at your own pace 🐢…🐇..
I will fire your projects in a pottery studio, glossy-glaze everything, and fire it a second time, before preparing them for pick up. Once your work is ready for pickup, you will be notified by text and/or email. Items can also be shipped for an additional fee.
You will love having made an accessory yourself from start to finish! Not only that, but you can feel good knowing it was made with natural and sustainable materials, so that at the end of its life, each piece can return to the earth: wooden beads can be composted, stone and glass can be reused or decorate the garden, and metal findings can be recycled.

| DISCLAIMER | Pieces will generally be ready within 3-4 weeks, but occasionally may take longer depending on the pottery studio’s firing schedule. Clay is a volatile material and as such, complications can arise at any time between all the crafting, glazing, drying, and firing processes. It’s important to understand that imperfections may occur, such as cracks, breakage, and glazing mishaps. By participating in this workshop, you acknowledge that our studio is not liable for any damages that may occur to your work during or after firings.
